For teams evaluating a SafeVision by HOYA alternative, the useful comparison is how a program will run across your locations. This guide focuses on eligibility updates, order handoffs, payment and support ownership so procurement can compare written implementation plans.
What SafeVision describes
SafeVision's corporate program page lists employee portals, eligibility management, an eye care provider panel, regional representation, account managers and support teams. It offers custom or package pricing and flexible billing for single- or multi-location programs. Read SafeVision's corporate program overview.
Both providers offer employer program administration. A portal alone does not tell you how enrollment, prescriptions, exceptions and invoicing will work for your locations. Ask each provider to show the proposed workflow using the same example cases.
Walk through five implementation handoffs
- Roster to eligibility: identify who adds new hires, removes departed employees and approves replacements. Ask how location transfers and allowance changes take effect, and who receives an exception report.
- Eligibility to order: test a covered pair, an optional upgrade and an ineligible request. Confirm the approved assortment, employee instructions, language needs and approval route. Record who answers a blocked employee.
- Prescription to production: ask where employees provide prescriptions, who reviews them and how missing measurements are resolved. Agree whether employees use an eye care provider, remote coordination or an on-site fitting option for the proposed program.
- Production to delivery: choose individual or grouped delivery destinations and define tracking, receipt and fit follow-up. Ask when the delivery estimate begins and how prescription or availability issues change it.
- Order to invoice and support: agree cost-center fields, invoice frequency, employee charges and correction procedures. Name the contacts for fit concerns, remakes and billing disputes, including the escalation route when multiple locations are involved.
Use one rollout specification for both proposals
Supply the same location list, eligible population, work requirements, frame and lens scope, measurement needs, shipping plan and payment rules. Request a written implementation owner, launch dependencies, training plan, support responsibilities and reporting sample from each provider. Identify package inclusions and exclusions before comparing totals. Do not send employee medical details with an initial program inquiry.
Before a broad launch, agree acceptance checks for a new hire, a location transfer, a missing-prescription order and an invoice correction. Ask each program contact how those cases will be handled under the proposed arrangement. These are procurement questions, not ratings of either provider.
How CHAOSRXOptics handles the order
CHAOSRXOptics offers a private employer portal with an agreed frame and lens assortment, eligibility rules and allowances. Employees can use a current prescription from any eye doctor. Additional prescription measurements are coordinated directly. Virtual sizing helps compare supported frames; sample kits and optional on-site Sit & Fit visits depend on availability, site access and measurement needs. No kiosk or on-site event is required.
The employer chooses monthly company invoicing (Net terms available) or payment at checkout. Covered pairs do not require employee payment at checkout; employee-paid upgrades depend on the agreed program. Shipping can go to a home, office, shop or job site. Reporting fields, access and cadence are agreed before launch. See our corporate program details for scope and contact options.
Check each selected product's stated ANSI rating and suitability for the work. Eyewear is imported. Virtual sizing does not replace any prescription measurements needed to complete an order.
