Oakley Standard Issue

Standard Issue - Oakley SI

Oakley Standard Issue is the line Oakley builds for the people who do not get to pick their conditions: military, law enforcement, fire, and EMS. We carry it for the crews who treat eye protection like the rest of their kit, and for the trades that ask the same of their gear as a duty day does.

On duty: the ballistic line, rated to ANSI Z87.1 and tested to MIL-PRF-31013. Off duty: the aggressive frames the same crews wear off the clock, Prizm and all.

Issued, rated, and ready.

New to the line? Our Oakley Standard Issue buyer's guide walks through every SI frame, and which Oakley sunglasses are Z87 rated sorts the safety frames from the sport ones.

Which Oakley Standard Issue glasses to pick, and common questions

For the most coverage, the SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0 Hybrid puts a taller lens on the Strike frame. The SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0 Strike is the tactical workhorse, and the SI Industrial M Frame 2.0 takes the same shield to the bay floor. The SI Ballistic HNBL is the low-profile shield for people who want ballistic protection without a frame that announces itself, and the Det Cord carries MIL-PRF-32432 and ANSI Z87.1 in a frame with more of Oakley's street styling.

The Kato, Half Jacket 2.0 XL and M2 Frame XL sit here as the off-duty picks. They are Oakley sport frames, not ballistic or Z87-rated safety lenses, so check the rating on each listing before you count on a pair at work.

Are Oakley Standard Issue glasses Z87 rated?

The SI ballistic frames are. The M Frame 2.0 builds, Ballistic HNBL, Shocktube and Det Cord meet ANSI Z87.1, the standard OSHA references in 1910.133. The sport frames sold alongside them do not.

What does Oakley Standard Issue mean?

Standard Issue, or SI, is the line Oakley builds for military, law enforcement, fire and EMS. The ballistic frames are tested to military eyewear standards such as MIL-PRF-31013, on top of ANSI Z87.1.

Can I wear Oakley SI glasses at work?

The rated ones, yes, as long as they match the hazard your employer's assessment names. For crews buying in volume, see our corporate safety eyewear program.
