The Tombstone is Oakley Standard Issue built for the duty day rather than the range: a wide, aggressive sunglass with the SI fit and Plutonite optics. Coverage for driving, the flight line, or any post where the sun is the hazard you fight all shift.

Issue specs

Oakley Standard Issue, built for on-duty wear
Plutonite lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue light
Lightweight O Matter frame for all-day wear
Unobtainium nose pads and temple grip that hold when you sweat

Part of the Standard Issue program. Oakley Standard Issue is the line Oakley builds for people who do not get to pick their conditions: military, law enforcement, fire, and EMS. Same Plutonite lenses, same impact pedigree, issued instead of advertised. We carry it for the crews who treat eye protection like the rest of their kit, because a tire bay asks a lot of the same questions a duty day does.

The Straight Read

Built for the duty day when the sun is the hazard you fight all shift: a wide, aggressive SI sunglass on a light O Matter frame with Plutonite lenses that block 100 percent of UV. Listed certification: ANSI Z87+. Check the frame and lens markings and confirm the complete pair meets your workplace requirements.

ANSI Z87+ Safety (where applicable)

Listed certification: ANSI Z87+. Check this product’s specifications, the complete pair’s markings and your workplace requirements. Oakley Meta and other consumer-grade smart frames are not Z87-rated, check the product specs for each model.

Specs & Fit

Listed certification: ANSI Z87+. Check this product’s specifications, the complete pair’s markings and your workplace requirements. Anti-fog, polarized, and mirror options vary by model. Fit runs unisex, medium to large.

Shipping & Returns

Free shipping on every order within the US, no minimum. Ships from Phoenix. Most orders arrive in 7-14 business days. Need it by a date? Email orders@chaosrxoptics.com before ordering and we will confirm. Returns accepted within 45 days.

Why buy here instead of the brand site? CHAOSRXOptics compares Z87+ frames across Heat Wave, Wiley X, Oakley, Smith, Spy, and Wye/Delta, then points you toward the frame, fit, and lens that actually fits the job. If a Wiley X makes more sense than the Heat Wave you came for, we will say so.

Prescription lenses are custom-made and cannot be restocked. If the prescription is wrong or the fit fails on a corporate Rx order, we remake it through the program process.

Impact rating

Z87 and Z87+ are not the same rating.

ANSI Z87.1 sets two tiers. The plus is earned in two extra tests. This is what they look like.

Listed certification: ANSI Z87+

Check the product markings and your workplace's protection requirements.

Animations depict the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 impact test protocol: basic drop ball, 25.4 mm steel ball from 127 cm; high velocity, 6.35 mm steel ball at 45.7 m/s (spectacles); high mass, 500 g pointed projectile from 127 cm. Animations explain the test protocol; check product markings for the applicable certification.
