This is the eyewear the United States military issues, not the kind it advertises. The Oakley SI Ballistic M Frame 3.0 is built to MIL-PRF-31013, the ballistic fragmentation standard worn downrange, and clears ANSI Z87.1 high-mass and high-velocity impact on top of it. Pure Plutonite lenses, High Definition Optics, made in the USA. Standard Issue means what it says: issued to the people who do not get to pick their conditions, now on the same line that outfits your bay.

Prescription lenses are custom-made and cannot be restocked. If the prescription is wrong or the fit fails on a corporate Rx order, we remake it through the program process.
Z87 and Z87+ are not the same rating.
ANSI Z87.1 sets two tiers. The plus is earned in two extra tests. This is what they look like.
This frame carries the basic impact rating. It is not rated for the high-velocity or high-mass tests. See Z87+ frames
Animations depict the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 impact test protocol: basic drop ball, 25.4 mm steel ball from 127 cm; high velocity, 6.35 mm steel ball at 45.7 m/s (spectacles); high mass, 500 g pointed projectile from 127 cm. Badges reflect the certification each frame carries.
