As part of our Active 6 lineup, the WX ALFA is built with a flatter 6-base lens that can accommodate a higher prescription range while offering the same ANSI+ protection and clarity of all Wiley X sunglasses. The sleek, rectangular build of its lightweight frame offers a comfortable yet flattering fit, and our removable swivel side shields are easy to add or remove for extra peripheral protection when you need it. As its name implies, the WX Alpha earns an A+ in both protection and style.

Oakley Meta and other consumer-grade smart frames are not Z87-rated, check the product specs for each model.

Impact-rated polycarbonate lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection across the safety line. Look for the Z87+ mark on the frame and lens to confirm the ANSI rating. Anti-fog, polarized, and mirror options vary by model. Fit runs unisex, medium to large.

Prescription lenses are custom-made and cannot be restocked. If the prescription is wrong or the fit fails on a corporate Rx order, we remake it through the program process.
Z87 and Z87+ are not the same rating.
ANSI Z87.1 sets two tiers. The plus is earned in two extra tests. This is what they look like.
This frame carries the basic impact rating. It is not rated for the high-velocity or high-mass tests. See Z87+ frames
Animations depict the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 impact test protocol: basic drop ball, 25.4 mm steel ball from 127 cm; high velocity, 6.35 mm steel ball at 45.7 m/s (spectacles); high mass, 500 g pointed projectile from 127 cm. Badges reflect the certification each frame carries.
